Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has rolled out an OTA update for its flagship handset, the Gionee A1. The update brings a big improvement to the smartphone's 16MP selfie camera, one of its biggest highlights
After the update, users will be able to use Gionee A1's front camera for taking panoramic selfies and Full HD selfie videos. Also, the update brings visual guidance features for capturing better selfies. This is the third OTA update that the smartphone has received so far.
Launched in March at a price tag of Rs 19,999, the A1 is among the company's few smartphones to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The dual-SIM smartphone has a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, clubbed with 4GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB, expandable up to 128GB with microSD cards. Backed by a 4,100mAh battery, the smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor which also doubles up as the Home button. On the connectivity front, it offers 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Recently, Gionee launched the 'Virat Kohli Signature Edition' of the A1 smartphone. Priced at Rs 19,999, the special edition smartphone has the cricketer's signature at the back.
